“The Windmill at Umdoni Halt was started by Stewarts & Lloyds on the 1st March 1922, and on the 6th, the stone wall at the base of the mill was begun, with the marking out of the foundations. The actual stone wall was started on the 9th of March, and the stone was brought up to start building the platform and shelter at Umdoni Park Halt. The site and clearing operations for the shelter and platform was marked out on the 24th of April.”
